Domaine Bousquet
Domaine Bousquet & Anne Bousquet
Jean Bousquet grew up in the family vineyards in Carcassone, France, and his daughter, Anne, grew up there, helping in the vineyard.
While Anne went off to a career as an economist, he sold his holdings in France and came to Argentina, where he founded Domaine Bousquet in 1997. Less than 10 years later, he convinced his daughter to help with the first release of the Domaine Bousquet wines. In 2009, with her father getting older, Anne and her family moved to Argentina to run the winery.
She and her family now live in Miami (which is helpful with international sales), but while in Argentina, she cultivated community on the property, where her staff call her “La Mama.”
In the foothills of the Andes in the Tupungato Valley of Argentina
In Argentina’s Mendoza Province, in the foothills of the Andes, you find Domaine Bousquet. The Mendoza Valley’s Uco Valley is known for its high-altitude wines. The Domaine Bousquet Vineyards are the Gualtallary Zone of Tupungato in the Uco Valley. The vineyard here sits at 4,000 feet above sea level, and you can see the snow-capped Andes behind them.
